A rate service organization (RSO) is an organization that assists insurers in rate, rule, and form filings. An RSO makes such filings on behalf of its members/subscribers and may provide other services, such as loss or expense statistics, and answers to questions with regard to rate, rule, and form filings.
To become an RSO, a company must fill out and submit to the department the following application:
