The Utah Insurance Department has proposed changing the State’s essential health benefit plan for the 2027 plan year. This plan will apply only to the individual and small employer comprehensive health insurance market.
All changes to Utah’s benchmark plan will require approval by the Centers of Medicare and Medicaid services (CMS).
The Department posted all proposed changes to the benchmark plan and associated documents for public notice and comment (45 CFR § 156.111.c) from April 18 to May 5, 2025.
